A Bit of History
It all started with a neglected mutt with one blue eye and one brown eye. A dirty mutt that I passed every day on my way to elementary school. In rain, snow and scorching sun, he greeted me from behind the fence, begging for some love and attention.
I saved my leftover packed in a brown paper bag for him. Every day I shared my food and gave him the rubs he so craved for; and every day we felt a bond. A bond of hope, happiness and healing so desperately missing in our impoverished neighborhood.
I called for my mutt with my brown bag in hand. No sight of him, no sound of his attention seeking barks. I called and called, but nothing appeared. Again, the next day I called for him and the day after that. He simply disappeared from my life.
The legacy of that dirty mutt was a seed for animal compassion in a child who, now as an adult, strives for animal welfare and activism.
Thank you to the one blue eyed and one brown eyed neglected mutt, who now smiles down on me from heaven.

"Giang's been an influential person in our family. She trained our two older Rottweilers. They had problems for years and we thought no way can they change. She amazed us and showed us that old dogs can learn new tricks!" -Molly-
"I was unsure if Giang could handle my 100 lb dog with his pulling problem. He pulled so hard during on our walks I almost gave him back to the shelter. I called Giang as a last resort and I'm glad I did. He now walks right by my side and doesn't pull me when he sees something he wants to chase. He used to chase squirrels and skateboards, but not anymore!" -Amanda-
"Thank you for helping Millie overcome her fear of the spooky world. She is now confident and happy when we go for walks and car rides. You have helped our family so much. -Sally-
